Sorry no posts for so long. But we moved, its a good thing. We are now in a very beautiful little place in a wonderful neighborhood. Pretty little Italian kitchen with an adorable wine rack and tons of counter space to support my new hobby. It has been pointed out to me by someone who never adds to this blog....and should... that I don't write enough about what is happening in my boys life. So here goes I will try and actually blog more and not just put up tons and tons of photos...we will see how long it lasts :)

Truthfully this is more for our memories than anything else...I want to remember every tiny little detail of his life, which is the purpose of this blog so when something new happens in his amazing little life I am going to post it. Sorry if it gets boring...I guess I will write about other things if they are important enough to rival Derek who is the very center of my world.

Derek is just starting to crawl and has two beautiful teeth...well actually they look like normal teeth but to me they are adorable, strange thing when you get to the point that even something as mundane as teeth becomes a tiny little wonder you can't stop staring at.

His collection of Sandra Bryton books, he laughs every time he reads them, his favorite one is the "bed time book."

Actually we have tons and tons of books, we buy almost all that we find. He loves things he can touch, we have some pop out books where the foam pieces lift out...he started eating them almost right away...I took that to mean he liked them. Every thing goes in his mouth so I guess time will tell.

He loves the car and loves to travel...hates his car seat.

Loves his johnny jump up, with some good baby Einstein he will spend hours in the thing.

He has started to say some words like mama (which he only says when he is angry) occasionally I will get a "hi."

He has been really sick lately and his cry breaks my heart. I think most people cringe at a babies cry but when he is sooo sad like he has been it makes me want to cry too. But he is getting better.
I just got a new camera thanks to my wonderful brother James, so I am going to film him tomorrow and put up some videos of him laughing. And trying to crawl, it's pretty cute too.

Sorry we haven't posted for so long, but we have moved and are just getting set up and do no have internet yet. We will be getting it very soon in a couple of days actually. Derek is doing very well, and loves our new place. He is laughing constantly, and two days ago said his first word...hi.
It was beyond adorable, he says it all the time now, hi, hi, hi. Whenever he wakes up he will tell me hi. I love it.

Things I can do now.

I can hold up my head.
I can make lots of sounds.
I can smile sometimes.... but I prefer being serious.
I can look at things and follow them with my eyes.
I like to grab at my favorite toy that my Aunt Suko gave me.
I like to put myself to sleep in my chair... and if I feel like it I can roll over.
I like to lie on my stomach and try to crawl, I can't do it so good yet, but I can push myself along with my feet and grab handfuls of the bed cover and pull myself forward and backwards.

I was born on August 1st at 5:15pm, I cried a lot when I was born. I have a very loud scream, Mommy says I have a bad temper, but I guess only being four days old I can get away with it.
I weighed 6.6lbs and was 47cm long... nobody told me I was supposed to be bigger.
